HANS SCHEMM/(1891 – 1935) NSDAP Gauleiter of the Bavarian Ostmark and head of the National Socialist Teachers Association. Earlier he was a Nazi propagandist and publicist. Killed from injuries sustained in an airplane crash. Rare ink signed 3 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ b/w, a charcoal portrait of Schemm. He signs below the image in black ink. very good. Sold with a period photo postcard showing Schemm’s gravesite, surrounded by memorial wreaths. Two pieces.
