RARE letter from HESS to DR KARL GEBHARDT 1937, signed RH, file holes two small 1/4 in tears at top other, fine.
The infamous Dr. KARL GEBHARDT (1897-1948), personal physician to Himmler and Hess, auxilliary physician to Hitler at the Berghof, and president of the German Red Cross. Conducted bone and muscle experiments on prisoners at Ravensbruck. Convicted of crimes against humanity and executed. Hess thanks Gebhardt for sending his findings on the examination of Hess” wife, Ilse, and compliments the doctor”s work with the Belgian royal family
