Fascinating typed D.S., 2pp. large 4to., “Field Headquarters”, Jan. 31, 1944. Himmler signs a lengthy examination of the legal nationality of music teacher Martha Suszczynski of Posen. The document lists members of the “Supreme Audit Committee for Ethnic Inclusion Issues in the Annexed Eastern Territories, which included Himmler, Dr. Leonardo Conti, Wilhelm Stuickart, Richard Hildebrandt, and several others, all SS officers. The decision of the Central Office in Poznan of July 1942 is set aside as it is determined that the woman is “a descendant Pole, who was at least half German” and further buttresses that determination by citing her religious background. Boldly signed at conclusion by Himmler, also signed by ERNST KALTENBRUNNER (1903-1946) SS-Obergruppenfuhrer who headed the RSHA (Gestapo and Kripo) and SD, replacing Reinhard Heydrich, executed following conviction for multiple war crimes, and by WILHELM STUCKART (1902-1953), Nazi Party lawyer, official and a state secretary in the German Interior Ministry. He represented Wilhelm Frick, the Interior Minister, at the Wannsee Conference on 20 January 1942 and supported forced sterilization of Jews and other “undesirables”. Some toning at upper-left corner, file holes at the margin, folds, still very good.
