Clark, one page, to, being a printed souvenir copy of Clarkes letter conveying the Presidential Message to soldiers of 15th Army Group, 3rd May 1945, which states, in part, ‘On the occasion of the final brilliant victory of the allied armies in Italy in imposing unconditional surrender upon the enemy, I wish to convey to the American Forces under your command and to you personally the appreciation and gratitude of the President and the people of the United States.’ Signed by Clarke in bold black ink with his name alone to the foot of the page.
